Hello, and welcome to the first Wear That Fits blog.
If you've found us because you were looking for comfortable underwear, you're still in the right place. We haven't suddenly stopped selling boxers and become life coaches.
But we do want Wear That Fits to become about a little more than what's underneath your trousers.
It started with comfort
Wear That Fits started with a pretty straightforward idea: underwear should be genuinely comfortable to wear.
Because although underwear seems like a small thing, when it rides up, chafes, gets sweaty or needs constantly readjusting, it suddenly doesn't feel quite so small.
That got us thinking about comfort more generally.
Because feeling comfortable isn't only about what you're wearing. It's about feeling good in yourself too.
And that's something we'd like WTF to talk about.
Small things matter
There's no shortage of people telling us how to improve our lives.
Get fitter. Eat better. Work harder. Sleep longer. Drink more water. Use your phone less. Be more productive. Relax more.
It can all get a bit exhausting.
We're more interested in the small things.
Going for a walk. Getting some fresh air. Becoming a little more active. Trying something new. Switching off for an hour. Making time for something you enjoy.
Or simply picking up the phone and checking in on someone you've not heard from for a while.
None of those things is going to magically transform your life overnight.
That's not the point.
Sometimes one small positive thing is enough for today.
WTF means something else to us too
Obviously, WTF stands for Wear That Fits.
But there's another meaning we've grown rather fond of:
We Talk Feelings.
Don't worry. We're not turning an underwear website into a therapy session.
For us, it's much simpler than that.
It's about looking after ourselves, talking occasionally, checking in on people and being there for each other when we can.
We're not doctors, therapists or lifestyle gurus, and we won't pretend to be.
When we know something useful, we'll share it. When someone else knows considerably more than we do, we'll listen to them. And if we ever cover something that needs professional advice or support, we'll point towards the people and organisations properly qualified to provide it.
What will we talk about?
A bit of everything, hopefully.
We'll talk about the things we know from building Wear That Fits — comfort, underwear, fit, fabrics and those annoying little problems like boxers riding up or chafing.
But we'll also venture outside your underwear drawer.
Getting outdoors. Staying active. Confidence. Everyday wellbeing. Trying something different. Looking after yourself and occasionally remembering to look out for somebody else.
Nothing preachy.
Nothing pretending we've got life completely figured out.
Just straightforward, useful and hopefully positive content that might occasionally give you something worth thinking about.
This is just the beginning
Wear That Fits is still growing, and we're learning as we go.
We don't know exactly where this blog will take us yet — and that's part of the fun.
There will be useful information, things we've learned, people worth listening to and probably the occasional laugh along the way.
And whether you arrived here because of a pair of boxers or stumbled across something completely different, you're very welcome.
One small thing this week
Do one thing that's good for you.
It doesn't need to be impressive.
Go for a walk. Get some fresh air. Phone someone you've not spoken to recently. Start something you've been putting off. Or just give yourself half an hour away from the usual noise.
One small thing. That's enough.
Look after yourself. Look out for each other.
